As of November 10th, 2025, Plaato has officially shut down their servers. For many, this means their smart kegs have effectively turned into expensive coasters. But there is a solution.
Bar Helper keeps your hardware alive. Our system continues to support Plaato Kegs even without their official servers.
As a courtesy to the community, we want to help you get back online. We are offering a $6 voucher to try out Bar Helper on us. Simply sign up, then email us at info@barhelper.app with your registered email address, and we will apply the credit to your account immediately!
How to add your Plaato Keg
- Make sure you have already created a Keg, go to Inventory -> Keg on your Mobile, or Keg on the leftmenu on web
- Go to Profile -> Plaato on mobile, or Settings -> Plaato on web
- Press the (+) icon at the bottom of the page
- Enter a functional name of you Plaato Keg and press Next ->
- Press Start Setup
- Enter your SSI (wifi name) and password into the fields
- Reset the Plaato Keg by setting the reset key into the point on the keg
- Connect to your newly added wefi network for your Plaato Keg. Look in your wifi networks after a network with the name PLAATO-xxxx
- When you are connected to this network press the button Connect
- You will now send your information to the Plaato Keg, and it will reset. Ready for sending data to Bar Helper.
